The classy art form of ballroom dancing has made a big comeback the last few years, with people of all ages ready to "give it a whirl." Many couples want to learn how to waltz, tango and swing for their wedding reception.

Chameleon's DeeAnn Holmes and David Hyer are professional dance instructors who perform at many Chameleon events, teaching party guests how to swing, tango, rhumba, waltz, cha-cha,disco, even Carolina beach dancing, called "the Shag." DeeAnn and David share some basic tips to help you get started in ballroom dancing.

  •
  • * Line up slightly to the left of your partner, otherwise you'll step on each other.
  • * Keep your torso nice and tight, in order to lead (or be led).
  • * Relax your knees, knees should be slightly bent, or you'll look like you're Frankenstein dancing.
  • * Your chin should be slightly left so your looking over your partner's shoulder.
